The historic 18th-century seaport town of Annapolis, Maryland is America's sailing capital. South Annapolis Yacht Centre is nestled in the Eastport neighborhood of Annapolis, with only a short walk or water taxi ride connecting you to historic downtown Annapolis, the Naval Academy, shops, and restaurants. Our docks overlook Spa Creek with fantastic views of St. Mary's Church and the Eastport Bridge.

Directions by Land

Start on US Route 50 (US-301 / John Hanson Highway). Take Exit 24 to MD Route 70 (Rowe Blvd.) heading south. Continue on Rowe Boulevard for (1.2) miles and bear right onto Northwest Street. Continue left on Northwest Street for (0.1) miles to Church Circle. Take the 4th right off of Church Circle onto Duke of Gloucester Street. Continue for (0.5) miles then turn right onto Compromise Street. Go over the Eastport Drawbridge and make your first right onto Severn Avenue (past the Mercedes Dealership). Go three blocks to the stop sign and make a right onto Washington Street. The marina is straight ahead with the Walton Lane driveway on the left. SAYC is located at 1 Walton Lane (corner of Washington Street & Boucher Avenue). Directions by Water

As you enter the mouth of the Severn River, you can follow the fairway marked by cans, bells, and nuns for about 3/4 mile. This will allow you to clear "Horn Point" shoal to port (FL. 6 sec. HP). The Severn River and the U.S. Naval Academy bridges will be directly in front of you. Bearing to port you will enter the Annapolis Harbor. At the split channel marker (GC "1SC") bear left leaving the mooring field to starboard. Pass under the Spa Creek Bridge (opens on request every half hour, in-season - VHF CH 13 / 410-974-3840) and the marina will be directly ahead.
